    Day Trip to Doi Inthanon

About 60 km west of the largest city in northern Thailand Chiang Mai, lies the tallest mountain in Thailand – Doi Inthanon. Topped by a summit that touches the sky at an impressive 2,565 meters.

THG invites you to a day trip in the Doi Inthanon National Park, built around this spectacular mountain.

During your trip to the National Park, you can watch the impressive waterfalls that spread over a width of 100 meters, narrow winding roads leading to enchanting green forests, unique vegetation, a visit to the local market and more. All while being accompanied by an English-speaking guide.

In the park, there are also tribal villages that are home to the Mountain Tribe and the Karen tribe that invite you to visit and to get to know their special way of life. The experience has been described as powerful and humbling, among many visitors from around the world.

In addition, enjoy one of the most powerful experiences the park offers – climbing and reaching the highest peak in Thailand. Featuring two pagoda-like structures built in honour of the King and Queen of Thailand.

Around them, you will discover beautiful and well-kept gardens, around 360 different beautiful species of birds and more. Take pictures against the gardens, visit the pagodas – where you will find a magnificent statue of Buddha, and finally look over at the breathtaking view. One of top attractions of the park is the Siamese Sakura flowers blossoms covering trees in pink during which can be seen between late January and early February, lasting for only for a few weeks.

On your way back, you can visit the artists’ village and the colourful umbrella factory.

THG recommends wearing warm clothing due to the cool weather on the mountain top.

The day trip to Doi Inthanon is an attraction recommended for all lovers of walking, nature, culture and spectacular views and is suitable for the whole family and all types of travelers.
