Surrounded by limestone hills and expanses of sugar canes, Kanchanaburi is the best known for infamous Thai-Burma railroad and bridge over River Kwai where you will start your trip and continue to the WWII cemetery.
The River Kwai area with its beautiful waterfalls the most famous is called “Erawan Waterfall”. A seven tiered waterfall with stunning views of each of the nearby waterfalls.
Kanchanaburi is home to the to the famous train market (Mae Klong Railway market) – a truly amazing market that can be found only in Thailand at Samut Sonkram province. It is a fresh market selling vegetables, fruits, fresh and dried food etc. You and the market vendors will then make way for the travelling train which goes through the market where you can take photos or record a video while the train is approaching.
The brilliant Amphawa is an experience more local Thai life experiences with plenty of local food and fruits to be tasted! You will also enjoy the “magical firefly” experience, a joined boat trip through Amphawa canal and a wonderful way to end the trip.
